Ductless Heat Pumps
Ductless heat pumps are known for their flexibility and the ability to heat or cool individual rooms in your home rather than the entire home.
Heat Pump Installation
A ductless heat pump system gives you the option to heat or cool various zones, allowing you to only use the energy needed for that particular area. These systems can be installed almost anywhere and are designed to compliment your home’s decor. CityWide Plumbing & Power can install a ductless heat pump as a free standing unit, or on a wall or ceiling. This flexibility makes them one of the best options for renovations or additions. If you have a home or garage that doesn’t have the space for traditional ductwork this is the option for you. A ductless heat pump will not only make the rooms in your home more comfortable, but you only pay for the energy you use.
Studies have shown that ENERGY STAR® rated ductless models decrease your cost of heating by up to 50 percent. Ductless systems can also use up to 30 percent less energy than traditional air conditioning systems as they use compressors and fans to adjust cooling speed. Ductless heat pumps are also more energy efficient as they don’t suffer from the energy loss involved with traditional ducted systems.
Single Zone Ductless
A single-zone, or mini-split, ductless system gives you the ability to control the temperature of an individual room. This is done by connecting an outdoor unit to an indoor unit without any duct work. The outdoor component is placed outside the home and is connected to the indoor unit by small cables and a refrigerant line.
Multi Zone Ductless
A multi-zone or multi-split ductless system has an outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units. This gives you the flexibility to control the temperature in various zones within your home.
Variable Refrigerant Flow
Variable Refrigerant Flow systems are a multi-zone ductless system. These systems are extremely energy efficient and give you the ability to cool one zone of your home while heating a different zone, all at the same time.
